The experience of the Hunt

The experience of the Hunt I would say is incredible but a bit creepy. We were separated to the group and found answers together. After the activity, i felt like technology has connected us. I think that with the development of technology, we are more and more like a global village. All the information can be linked together, just like this group activity, a lot of information is a bit private. For example, find the last name of the professor's second sister. I think this activity is a professor who wants us to know what kind of information the media can bring under the control of people, and even more serious, how the privacy will be exposed.   I think this group activity is very meaningful. When the group discussed it, we even felt that some information was a bit creepy. The network facilitates people's communication activities and connections, but also brings certain drawbacks. On the Internet, freedom of speech is respected, but many lawless elements use this so-called f

Creating a Simple Website with HTML

I think this exercise was a great experience because i have never created a website before. I was really confused when I first saw this paper of instruction. The first thing that came out to my mind was to ask for my friend’s help who major in computer science, but I wanted to take a look and give it a try first so I read the instructions of creating a web page very carefully. Then I started to create a web-page by following every step of the instruction. I tried to make it very simple as it can but when I finished my first webpage, it went blank so it wasn’t working. There might be something wrong with the order of the background color but I am not sure how to fix it so I research for tutorial online to see if that can help. I finally made the fifth web-page successfully after I had seen the tutorial on Youtube. I didn’t add background color and marquee order. So it is just a very simple web-page with HTML. Something is better than nothing. I am very proud of myself to cre

the similarities and differences between traditional postal mail and email.

I think traditional postal email and email are very similar because they all want to convey information. People used to write in hand and people still do nowadays, however, people started to email since the well development of science and technology. This new communication way has been very popular, even more popular than traditional postal email. The reason is about convenience. Email is way more convenient than traditional postal email. You want to send someone messages and email can have that done in a few seconds while traditional postal email can take up to a few days. This is a major difference, but why would people still use traditional postal email even they know email might be more convenient? This would bring to the another difference. Sometimes a postal email would show you put work into it and show your sincerity. For example, when you want to tell your girlfriend that you travel and everything looks nice, would she be more happy to see you sending postal email

What do you want to get out of the class?

I chose this class because this is a 3 credit requirement for my graduation degree, and when I browse classes that might fit my schedule, I found this one to be interesting. Out of this class, I would like to learn about artificial intelligence and how media as technology could change our life. I have been attracted by AI movies because I think robot has been very technology advanced. You can see robots serving as a waiter, cleanser, even a chess player. I am wondering if it is possible AI would have its emotions in the future, because that would really scare me. What if they know they are created by humans? I am very excited to have this class to learn about the how media and technology can bring to our life and how it influences the way we think. For example, we have to watch news on TV or newspaper to know what happen in the world. However, you just open your phone and you can know what really happen in the world right now. Think about people living in the world 100 years
